The Math Page

I have created an edmodo group for my precalculus students. They were to post a link to a website that would be helpful for precalus. These are the messages they posted today and the link. It looks like a great site for them to use.

From my student: The math page is a really cool site that can be a huge help in Pre-Cal. It has topics all the way from formal rules of algebra to Mathmatical Induction. These topics are listed in 26 Chapters and their is also an app for it.
His reply from another student in the class: This page really helped me out with graphing. The way they explained the way to graph different equations helped me learn and review the material. I downloaded the app for help on the go!

  1. Isn't it awesome when your students actually use the resources you make available to them? And not only do they use them, but they like using them? Web 2.0 is so exciting in how it can increase the interactivity of our students with each other and the free resources available to them. It is great that you're finding creative and effective ways to engage your math students with Web 2.0 tools!

  2. Sara, I follow a blog of a math teacher who strives to use technology in the classroom. Here's some of his student's blogs (thought you might be able to glean some ideas for your classroom by seeing what he is doing):

  3. Great idea making the students do the work! You should make a Diigo group so that they can bookmark all of the sites they have found and tag them appropriately.

I enjoyed going to that blog. I hope as I have more time that I will be able to do more blogging with my students. I love the way the teacher sums up the day for the students and remind them of their assignments.
